Family Participation 

We encourage all families to participate in the life of Norman Park Kindy.

We also recognise that families have different work commitments, family circumstances, interests, skills and amounts of available time. Participation therefore doesn't need to look the same for everyone.

Throughout the year there are many different ways to contribute. Families might:

• join our Parent Management Committee;

• help at a working bee;

• support fundraising, including our Bunnings BBQ;

• help with kindergarten events;

• share a skill, profession, interest or cultural knowledge with children;

• assist with practical jobs that help our kindy run;

• contribute to our Museum Loans collections or other program experiences;

• support everyday tasks such as washing hand towels; or

• find another way of contributing that suits their family.

Some contributions are large. Some take only a few minutes.

They all matter.

When children see their families contributing to the place where they learn and play, they experience community as something people actively participate in rather than simply belong to.
